The Petzl IKO’s most distinctive feature is its ergonomic and comfortable AIRFIT headband. Thanks to its innovative, streamlined semi-rigid design, the ultrathin lamp body and the rear battery compartment, the entire unit weighs only 90 g. The weight is evenly distributed around the head, creating perfect balance, making it almost unnoticeable during use.
The water-repellent headband resists sweat and rain, and its thin construction significantly reduces contact with the skin, improving airflow during dynamic activities. Adjustment is quick and simple. It can be worn on the head or around the neck, and with the included storage pouch it can even be used as a lantern.
The lamp folds completely flat, making it easy to transport.

The seven LEDs positioned side by side provide a uniform light beam, offering either flood or mixed flood + spot lighting for optimal visibility in any situation. Operation is extremely simple: a single button controls the three brightness levels, and it can be locked to prevent accidental activation.
The maximum output of 350 lumens in mixed beam mode illuminates up to 80 metres. The 100-lumen medium level also uses a mixed pattern and provides up to 8 hours of runtime.
The low mode outputs 6 lumens of soft flood light and runs for up to 100 hours.

The IKO operates on 3 AAA batteries (included), but thanks to the HYBRID CONCEPT it is also compatible with the Petzl CORE rechargeable Li-ion battery, reducing long-term cost and environmental impact.
Reflective elements on the rear battery compartment improve visibility. After switching on, the lamp indicates its power level—whether using alkaline or CORE battery—via a small LED located between the light units: green for above 50%, orange for 10–50%, and red for below 10%.
