A completely new solution in the field of LED applications is the FILAMENT technology. With this impressive innovation, the tiny LEDs are connected in series on a transparent wire coated with yellow phosphor. This surface is then covered with high-quality silicone. The advantage of this solution is that the light source can illuminate at almost 360°, since it is usually placed inside a glass bulb, and it also offers significantly better efficiency than standard SMD LEDs. Unlike SMD LEDs, in this case the current is not transformed into low voltage. Most designs are manufactured with clear glass in 2700K (warm white) and 4000K (neutral white). The MILKY (frosted glass) version refers to the white-coated bulb, which provides a very pleasant, uniform light compared to the sharp light perceived through clear glass. It is available in 2700K (warm white) and 4000K (neutral white). The SILVER TOP version has the upper half of the bulb coated with chrome. This completely blocks the light in that direction, so it only shines toward the socket. It is an excellent solution for shaded bedside lamps or ceiling chandeliers where diffused but not direct light is desired. It is also available in 2700K (warm white) and 4000K (neutral white).
